Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the follow-up characteristic of a head and to always obtain a satisfactory contact state by forming a flat spring in the tandem spring structure of a tip side spring part and a base part side spring part, and setting the spring constant of the base part side spring part larger than that of the tip side spring part. CONSTITUTION: A pair of parallel flat springs 11a and 11b are formed in trapezoidal shape converging toward a connection part 12 side that is a tip side, and are formed in the tandem spring structure of the tip side spring parts 13a and 13b with short length and the base part side springs 14a and 14b with long length. Bending edges 15a and 15b are formed at both right and left edges of the spring parts 14a and 14b, and a high spring constant is attached on them. Meanwhile, plural holes 16a and 16b are formed at the spring parts 13a and 13b by applying an etching process, etc., and a low spring constant is attached on them, thereby, two rocking fulcrums of the springs 11a and 11b are formed at the spring parts 14a, 14b and 13a, 13b, and also, since the spring constant of the base part side spring part is larger than that of the tip side spring part, the low contact force of the head 17 for a disk 21 can be stably obtained.
