22,707. Phillips, A. M., and Taylor, G. H. Oct. 21. Seats. - The seating- surface of tramcar or other exposed seats consists of rollers B capable of rotating in the side frames. If the seat is wet, it can be dried by rotating the rollers against fixed rubber strips or squeegees C. The rotation is effected by chain gearing, toothed wheels, or pulleys operated by the swinging seat back A or otherwise. According to the Provisional Specification, the seat may be provided with a coin-and-slot arrangement for freeing the rollers.
