Abstract

23,113. Grundstedt, E. Oct. 26. Spring surfaces. -Springs, which are used in the manufacture of upholstered furniture, are secured between bearing-surfaces formed of chains. The springs a, Figs. 1 and 2, are iutroduced into the links of the chains b, and the projecting ends c of the springs. turned outwardly to prevent withdrawal from the links. A firm elastic bolster may be obtained by this means.
