Rod fittings.-A coupling for sections of fishing-rods consists of a spigot a' screwed into a socket b<4> and secured by a collar engaging a thread a<2> of a different pitch to that on the spigot. The collar c is prevented from leaving the socket by the closed-over flange c<2> and collars b<2>, b<3>. One thread may be right-handed and the other left-handed.
