Cleansing-compositions.-Materials for absorbing dust, to be employed in sweeping, are made by treating powdered mineral, animal, or vegetable substances, as free as possible from water, with oils or fats. When desirable, the compound is perfumed, coloured, or treated with a disinfectant. As examples, sand, or a mixture of sand and sawdust, or of sand and cement is treated with oil or with melted fat.
