Abstract

5623. Brentnall, W. L. March 11. Chairs, tables, bedsteads, &c.-Relates to a method of constructing chairs, tables, bedsteads, and like articles so that they may be easily taken apart for transport &c. The legs A have V-shaped or other grooves in them, into which parts of the framework B fit. Suitable wedge-pieces E fit into the corners between the frames, and hold them firmly to the legs, the whole being held together by bolts, coach screws, or other suitable fastenings D. The legs may also be stayed together, if desired, and, in the case of chairs, continued upwards to support the back.
